In 2019 we successfully started work in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire and in 2020, FibreNation will start work in Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon.  We’ll see connections to over 40,000 homes and businesses rolled out over the next few years, building a network that’s fully gigabit-capable and offers simple wholesale pricing from a legacy-free business.

Why is this role key to our business?

This is a broad and varied role that will require strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and people management skills.

You’ll be accountable for ensuring that all recruitment processes are well planned, run smoothly and that all stakeholders have a great experience.

It will input to and operationalise talent acquisition strategies to ensure that FibreNation recruits the right talent, skills and behaviours at the right time.  Critical to your success will be your ability to business partner effectively with your stakeholder group – managing expectations, agreeing goals, requirements and effective processes.  

As a key member of a small People team in a start-up business, you will be play a key role in the entire candidate life cycle, contributing to workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy, assessment and selection and on-boarding.

You will be responsible for:

  • Adding value to the business by asking insightful questions and taking thorough and detailed job briefings, using this as an opportunity to set and manage expectations
  • Supporting the talent and development strategy by exploring internal talent pools and succession plans prior to any recruitment activity commences
  • Using a variety of methods to attract the right talent, skills and behaviours (including, internal mobility, social media, recruitment marketing, advertising, direct sourcing, partnerships and events)
  • Partnering closely with managers and candidates throughout the process to manage expectations and deliver an exceptional recruitment experience
  • Supporting the Diversity & Inclusion agenda
  • Supporting early careers initiatives, including apprenticeships, academies and charity partnerships
  • Identifying any issues and making recommendations to overcome these, enabling delivery
  • Supporting manager capability initiatives
  • Identifying and using appropriate assessment and selection tools
  • Organising and preparing managers/candidates for interview processes, ensuring thorough feedback is captured and articulated to all candidates
  • Monitoring agency spend, attraction costs and key quality and delivery metrics
  • Functional reporting
  • Ensuring that all candidates are hired and on-boarded effectively
  • Ensuring that all recruitment processes adhere to legal, policy and compliance requirements

This is a varied role with the opportunity for stretch and development. Your success will be demonstrated by both operational delivery and quality metrics.

Some travel may be required to regional hubs.

You will be a strong operational business partner and have previous end to end recruitment experience. You will have experience with a variety of sourcing methods, excellent time management skills, the ability to identify and overcome challenge.

You will also have coverage of supplier management.

Ideally you will have social media attraction experience and be from a telecoms, Construction or Technology recruitment background.

You may also have partnerships experience (universities, groups), knowledge of apprenticeships and coverage of employer brand strategy and management
